Love to Live

Inspiration and Art Day #5

“Love takes off masks that we fear we cannot live without and know we cannot live within”
James A. Baldwin

“There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear”
John 4:18

I believe that LoVe should be the center of our lives, we must live to love, in order to live a meaningful life…

Enjoy!

Inspiration and Art..Day #4

I love these two quotes..

Far away in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.
Louisa May Alcott

Imagination is more important than knowledge.
Albert Einstein

This mixed media is my imagination in action, flying to unexpected places. When I created this mixed media I was immersed in my dreams, arriving to this amazing place full of color, nature, with all the things I love; music, flowers, butterflies, the sun shining with my bag full of dreams.. The words are in Spanish, my main language. They are Sueños (Dreams)….and Imagine Iimagina), dream (sueña)….act (realiza).

In my dreams!

The original was sold, but giclee prints and tiles are available.

Wishing you a lovely life,

It is good to have an end to journey towards, but it is the journey that matters in the end.
Ursula LeGuin

Mixed Feelings as I read the last post of the online course Hello Soul Hello Business today. So happy there will be a few more with the Mini Master Classes they had offer for the next week with some awesome collaborators (can’t wait). I am kind of sad because the course is over.

As I celebrate this amazing journey that lasted almost eleven weeks (with some breather weeks between classes), I want to share a mixed media, which reads A Lovely Journey. I add one of my mom’s crocheted doilies, celebrating her journey in this earth. I am happy to share (and I know she is too) that the store of the Museum of Art sold the original. Mixed feelings again because I was about to take it back for me…but I know it is in the right hands..and I know my mom would be so proud to know one of her doilies is out there with her daughter’s art.

This HSHB course has been and I know it will continue to be A Lovely Journey…I am so grateful and proud for being part of this amazing group. I love that we call ourselves soul sisters because we share our dreams, our joys and tears, our excitement and our frustrations, our mistakes and successes. Thank you all! We will continue Flying High!

Live to Love…Love to Live

Last week I had this words in my mind, Live to Love, Love to Live. They hit me hard in a week I was very tired of some people’s behavior. I was feeling sad for not understanding their attitudes and most of all their unbelievable egocentric lives. These words came to my mind day by day, moment by moment, as a reminder that Love is the answer, that Love will lead the way, that Love is what makes us “bounce back” those attitudes with kindness, compassion, understanding, forgiveness, with LoVe. I was thinking about the meaning of those words in one of my morning walks and WOW..I found a heart in the street. It was unbelievable, a heart made up from a piece of dry paint that flew from a house in remodeling process. Then I knew this is the answer…Live to Love….and Love to Live.

I made a mixed media work with those words. It was supposed to be in this post but something in it was not me. I just reworked it but it is still wet (can’t scanned it). But I will share a work in process, where Love is the message I want to be delivered through it. The background is done. I will be sharing the sketch I will use as a main focus.

Enjoy!

30 days of Inspiration…and Art….Day #1

Hi!

I am inspired to see this blog as my “kitchen table”, having conversations with my blog readers. The first time I read about this way of visualizing a blog was in 2010 when I was enrolled in Kelly Rae Roberts E-Course: Tips and Tricks to get your creative Business Soar. I found this visualization concept very interesting and now it was discussed again in the online course Hello Soul Hello Business with Kelly Rae and Beth Nichols (links at the end of the post). And for the second time I was in love with the concept: My blog-My Kitchen Table.

I don’t have a real kitchen table, I would love to have one BIG Kitchen with a Big table to receive friends and family there and have interesting, fun, even serious conversations. Well, I am decided to put that on my wish list and do something to get that new kitchen table and maybe remodel the whole kitchen. Dreams has to become realities, right? I can see myself there, like in Brothers and Sisters Series, cooking while having those interesting, fun and creative conversations.

For the time being I’m going to come over my online kitchen table more often, inspired to share quotes, stories and art with my blog readers/friends. This will be done in short posts, one inspiration a day. I am planning a 30 Days of Inspiration and Art, and this is my challenge….because it is my desire to live a lovely, fulfilling and an extraordinary life doing what I love, loving what I do and at the same time be inspired and inspire others to construct a better world. And like Ghandi said, “be the change you want to see in life”. I was inspired to write this after reading the TOMS story in the book Start Something that Matters by Blake Mycoskie.

I am starting today this 30 Days of Inspiration and Art with a Gift for You….It is a Keepsake Book with Recipes, Art and Inspiration featuring some amazing artist friends from my online artist community and with whom I would love to have frequent kitchen conversations. It is my hope that some day we could share a real “kitchen” conversation.

A Gift for You

The PDF can be downloaded here

Enjoy…and if you wish…Share it with your friends and family.

And this is my wish for today, for you and me….

Live the life..Moment to Moment, Enjoying the Ride….. Happy, Whole and Complete…
(these word will be on a new art I am creating, stay tuned!!)
